Markzware recently chatted with freelancer Jeff Kew of Fireboy Creative Inc., in Vancouver, BC. Canada, where he establishes workflow and prepress of files. Kew is also the founder and chapter representative of the Vancouver InDesign Group.

We discussed design layout file conversion tools and what has been happening in the world of prepress. Markzware: What are some of your day-to-day responsibilities at Fireboy Creative Inc.

Kew: My day-to-day role is rebuilding or prepress the art directors files and prepping them for print. I have a lot of clients ranging from advertising agencies to freelance art directors and creative directors. Markzware Announces The Release of PUB2ID V2 For Adobe InDesign CS3 and CS4

There was, indeed, an interesting post by Adobe titled, “Three interesting Adobe InDesign links.” Here is what it said, with my comments (Or can you call that tongue-and-cheek?) intertwined:

“1. Scripting InDesign CS4 Preflight.

Yup that’s right, you can script almost anything in Adobe InDesign, and that includes the new Live Preflight feature. So if you think that the 200% productivity gain is still not enough, get your scripting gloves on, and automate it even more.
